Our Story

How it all started...

I would like to telll you a little about myself. several years ago, I was invited to help produce a Ranch Sorting at a local Cowboy Church. Although I was a believer, and had been saved, I had never put a lot of effort into my Spiritual life, and never felt comfortable in a traditional church surrounding. The day of the Ranch Sorting was the first day I attended my first cowboy church, I knew that God had provided a place where I was able to fit in. God has led me, through several different positions in Cowboy Churches, from Youth Minister, to being a Lay Pastor for several years. In March of 2023, while I was shoeing a horse, God called me to plant a church, here in Breckenridge. Although, we may not be the largest Cowboy Church around, it is a true blessing for me to lead this congregation

Expanding the vision...

our goal, here at Stephens County Cowboy Church is to reach out to those, who enjoy the cowboy way of life. from the working cowboy-the ones who make their living tending to their livestock-or the day-worker. We  want to reach those who are the professional and nonprofessional cowboys who enjoy the life they have by competing at ropings-barrel races-cutters-working cow horse events-to those who enjoy trail riding. We want to reach those who enjoy the traditional life of tcowboys portrayed on the movie screens. Finally, we want to reach out to anyone, who for whatever reason, has felt like they do not belong in a church. For whatever reason, we want you to come visit us, and let us share the Word of God with you

Where we are headed...

I can’t rightfully say, where we are headed. As you know, God has a way of changing our plans to meet His needs. As a church, we want to reach as many as possible, and pray that God will allow us to do so.
